How Do I Use Clarity Video Anywhere?

Video Chat and Meeting Options

Our Clarity Video Anywhere app allows you to Video Chat with both internal and external Contacts right from Portal.
  1. Meetings and Webinars can be created in Clarity Video Anywhere.

  2. Up to 25 participants can attend a Video Meeting.  Up to 100 participants can attend a Video Webinar.  Up to 1000 participants can attend an audio-only Webinar.

  3. Participants can join a Clarity Video Anywhere Meeting from the web or mobile devices.  Participants do not need to be a User of your domain. 

  4. You may also use Clarity Video Anywhere to create a permanent Meeting Room that can be used at any time. 

  5. Clarity Video Anywhere includes the ability to:  share your screenchat, enlarge the current speakerchange layout, and record sessions

  6. Meetings can be initiated or created from the Portal Apps dropdown or from the Chat option. 

  7. Clarity Video Anywhere can be initiated from both the Manager and Extension views in Portal. 



How to use Clarity Video Anywhere

  1. In Portal, click Apps.  You can be in either your Extension or Manager View to use this option. 
    1. Choose Clarity Video Anywhere from the drop-down menu.  


  2. Both Meetings and Webinars can be created in Clarity Video Anywhere

    1. You may create a one-time Meeting or a Recurring Meeting by choosing Schedule a Meeting.  Make sure to Save your Meeting when your choices are complete. 


  3. You may start an immediate Meeting by choosing Start a New Meeting.  Choose your options, if any, and click Next.   
    1. The Meeting will immediately begin. 


  4. You may also create a Meeting Room that can be joined at any time.   These are especially handy for meetings or trainings that are not on a regular basis but do occur often.  It gives all participants a "place" to meet up without having to schedule a new meeting.   
    1. Make sure to Save your Meeting Room when your choices are complete. 


  5. Existing Meeting Room information can be accessed by choosing Rooms and then the requested Room

    1. The Join Information of the Room can be copied and shared quickly to participants. 


  6. Once inside the Meeting, you have the option to Screen ShareChat, and Record.




What About Video Chat?

Each Extension in your Domain is automatically added to a Contact List
  1. The Contact List is available in your Mobile App and Web Phone.   It is also available as docked Window in the bottom right of your Portal


  2. Chat can be initiated from the Messages Tab or from the Contact List

  3. You may start a Video Chat/Call directly with an internal Extension from your Chat when accessing Chat from Portal



Launching the Video Chat from Messages

  1. Click on the Messages tab.
    1. If you have a Manager permission level and are currently in your Manager View, click your Profile Name in the top right, then choose Messages


  2. Choose the Chat tab.
      

  3. Any previous conversations will be available on the page.  (Both Chat and any previous text threads will display here if Texting is enabled for your Extension.)

    1. You can continue your Chat by highlighting the conversation and then clicking the Reply icon.  

  4. If you would like to start a new chat, choose New Conversation.
       
    1. pop-up Chat window will open. Enter the Name or Extension number of the person you would like to chat with.

      1. Select the desired Extension and choose Start.


  5. If you would like to switch the Chat to an phone Call or Video Chat/Call, make your selection at the top of the Chat window.
  6.  Clarity Video Anywhere will open up for you so that you may continue as a Video Call



Launching a Video Call From the Docked Contact List

  1. The Contact List is available in your Mobile App and Web Phone.   It is also available as docked Window in the bottom right of your Portal


  2. At this time, you may not transferChat to a Video Call when using the Mobile App. However, Participants in Clarity Video Anywhere Meetings can join from mobile devices such as cell phones

Instructions 
  1. Access the Contact List from the Contacts Tab, Web Phone, or Docked Window in Portal.   
      
  2. Choose your Contact
    1. If accessing from the Contacts Tab, click the Chat option.
       
  3. Click the Video camera icon. 


  4. Choose from the available Video Call options. Clarity Video Anywhere will open so that you may continue.
