Jabra Engage 65

The Jabra Engage 65 is an entirely new class of DECT wireless professional headsets and replaces the Pro 9400 series headsets.

Headset Connection to a Polycom Phone

Cable Connection

  1. Connect the supplied RJ-9 cable to the blue telephone port on the back of the base station and plug the other end into the telephone headset port on the back of the phone.

  2. If included, remove the EHS cable from the bag and connect it to the red AUX port on the back of the base station and then insert the 5-pin jack to the back of your phone.

  3. Connect the power adapter cable to the yellow port on the back of the base station and to the power outlet.  You will hear music from the base station.

  4. If connecting to a computer, connect the supplied USB cable into the USB port at the back of the base station and then plug into a USB port on your PC/Computer.

Jabra Setup

  1. Place the headset into the base and follow the directions on the base using the + and - on the base to select the proper settings then select to confirm.  (NOTE:  when selecting √ for an option, the option must be in the center of the menu)
    1. Language - English or the language you wish to use
    2. Start Setup - Yes
    3. Set up Desk Phone - Yes
    4. All Cables Connected - Yes
    5. EHS Adapter - Press ++ and choose DHSG  

  2. It will prompt you to Wear Headset.  Put the headset on and choose OK.
    1. Follow directions on base screen and lift handset. Listen to handset.
    2. The Base will now read:   Do you hear Dial Tone? (In handset).  Select Yes if you do.
    3. The Base will now read:  Desk Phone Connected.

  3. Set up Mobile Device? Select No
    1. Your screen will read: Update Completed, Rebooting

  4. Once this is complete you will see Primary Headset Connected on the base screen.

  5. The default Volume is low by design so that you may adjust it to your preference. Adjust the Volume to your preference. 

Program the Headset to the Polycom Phone

After cabling the Headset, set up your Polycom phone to work with the Headset for call control. 

  1. Click the menu button (HOME icon) >> Basic >> Preferences >> Headset >>
    1. Select Headset Memory.
    2. Select Enabled.

  2. Press the back button.

  3. Press Hookswitch mode.
    1. Select Jabra EHS.

  4. Your phone will reboot automatically.



Jabra Setup and Cabling

    1. Language - English or the language you wish to use
    2. Start Setup - No.   The Base will automatically reboot. 

  2. Once it reboots, plug the USB cable into the back of the Yealink phone and it will auto configure the headset.

  3. The default Volume is low by design so that you may adjust it to your preference. Adjust the Volume to your preference.
