How Do I Change a Voicemail Greeting?

Voicemail Greeting 

If you need to change your Voicemail Greeting, or if your initial Greeting was set up for you by Clarity, you can update your Voicemail Greeting in Portal, Web Phone, the Mobile App, Clarity Desktop Pro (CDP), or your physical phone.   Some domains have also added this option into their Auto Attendant/IVR
  1. The Voicemail PIN is also referred to in some menus as your "access code" when accessing the Voicemail Menu.

  2. Office Managers and Advanced Users may update the Voicemail Greeting for other Extensions in the Users tab.  



How Do I Update My Voicemail Greeting from Portal?

  1. Click on the Messages Tab.
    1. If you have a Manager permission level and are currently in your Manager View, click your Profile Name in the top right, then choose Messages


  2. Select the Settings tab.


  3. From the Voicemail Settings, you can adjust your preferences for the Voicemail Greeting and Recorded Name.
    1. It is always our recommended best practices to personalize both of these options. 


  4. You can Play or Download the current recording for either the Voicemail Greeting or Recorded Name.   
    1. You can also choose Manage to update the recording(s).
        

  5. If you choose to Manage the recording(s), a new window of options will open. You will have three options for updating the current recording.
      

    1. Text-to-Speech:  This allows you to type out your preferred Greeting or Name.  You can then choose the Language and the preferred Voice.  Use the Play button to preview your Greeting and Voice.
        
    2. Upload:  This allows you to Browse and then Upload a saved recording.  This option is handy if you have a saved generic Greeting that is used in more than one location 
    3. Record:  This allows you to have our system Call you either at your extension or your phone number so you can live record your Greeting.


  6. After all selections are made, make sure to select Save.
      

  


How Do I Update My Voicemail Greeting from My Phone?

  1. Press the Voicemail key on the physical phone or dial *97
    1. On some models, the Voicemail key looks like an envelope.

  2. Enter the current Voicemail PIN.

  3. Use option 4 to access the Voicemail Greeting menu.  


How Do I Update My Voicemail PIN from Mobile App, CDP, or Web Phone?

  1. Dial *97

  2. You will hear a "enter your access code" prompt.  Enter the current Voicemail PIN.

  3. Use option 4 to access the Voicemail Greeting menu. 



How Do I Update My Voicemail PIN from the Auto Attendant?

This option requires an Auto Attendant with the Voicemail Management option added. 
  1. Dial the phone number that reaches the programmed Auto Attendant.
    1. Choose the programmed option

  2. You will hear a "enter your account number" prompt. 
    1. Enter your Extension.

  3. You will hear a "enter your access code" prompt. 
    1. Enter the current Voicemail PIN.

  4. Use option 4 to access the Voicemail Greeting menu. 



How Do I Update Another User's Voicemail PIN for them?

If you are an Advanced User or Office Manager, you do have access to update another User/Extension.

Instructions
  1. You must be in the Manager View to view Users for the domain.  If you are not in the Manager View, click Manage Organization.


  2. Choose Users.


  3. Search for the User and choose them. 
    1. In our example, we have chosen the Colorado Site Manager.


  4. Click the Voicemail tab. 

    1. Scroll down to Greetings. You can Play or Download the current recording for either the Voicemail Greeting or Recorded Name.   You can also choose Manage to update the recording(s).


  5. If you choose to Manage the recording(s), a new window of options will open. You will have three options for updating the current recording.
      

    1. Text-to-Speech:  This allows you to type out your preferred Greeting or Name.  You can then choose the Language and the preferred Voice.  Use the Play button to preview your Greeting and Voice.
