How Does eFax Work?

  1. Documents sent can be in any of the following formats:  .pdf, .doc, .docx, .rtf, .tif, .tiff, or .txt.  The size limit for email attachments is 25mb.

  2. Some organizations may have their own protocols on how large a fax they can receive.

With Clarity eFax service, there is no need for a fax machine.  It’s as easy as 1-2-3!
  1. Scan the document or documents to be faxed.

  2. Compose a new email using any of the email addresses authorized to send from your fax number.
    1. Use either of these two formats:   1+10digitfaxnumber@clarityfax.com or 10digitfaxnumber@clarityfax.com
    2. Type any message into the body of the email.  Any text in the body of the email (including the signature) will become the body of the cover letter.

  3. Attach the documents to be faxed and click Send.

What Else Should I Know?

·     A cover letter is generated for all faxes.  Every part of the email will be included in the cover letter.

  1. The subject line will become the subject line of the cover letter.

  1. Any text in the body of the email (including the signature) will become the body of the cover letter.

·    If the fax was sent successfully, you will receive an email from the "Clarity fax server" that shows a “Delivered” status.

  1. If the fax was not sent successfully, you will receive an email from the "Clarity fax server" that shows a “Not Delivered” status.

  1. If no email notification is received, double check the email address to ensure that the correct fax number and format was used.

How to Receive an eFax

  1. Faxes sent to your fax number will come directly to the email address(es) that you have on file for fax receipt.
