How to Use an ATA Fax Adapter

ATA Fax Adapter

You can now have the convenience of using your fax machine, along with Clarity’s IP fax service.

  1. Receive Faxes through your own Fax Machine.

  2. Need a Hybrid solution?  We can set up your account to receive Faxes through your Fax Machine and also send a copy to your email.



How Does It Work?

  1. An ATA Fax Adapter will be installed.  

  2. Once installed, you will send and receive your faxes as you normally would, through your own fax machine.  

  3. You will receive a transmission report from the Clarity Fax server on your fax machine.



How Do I Install an ATA Fax Adapter?

  1. Plug your fax machine phone cable into Line 1 in the ATA Fax Adapter.

  2. Plug an Ethernet cable into the WAN port of the ATA Fax Adapter.  Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the LAN port of your router or switch.

  3. Plug the power into the ATA Fax Adapter.

What About the Portal Fax Option?

Portal Faxing allows you to use your Fax service and to also send and/or receive Faxes in Portal.   There is no additional charge to your existing Fax service to add the Portal Fax option.
