Polycom Phone Installation
Installing your Polycom phone is a snap! We will assist you during your scheduled virtual Installation.
- If you would like additional pictures or would like to set up your phone prior to your scheduled appointment, follow the instructions on this page.
Instructions
- Unpack your Clarity Phone from the box.
- Connect one end of the handset cord into the handset and the other end into the handset jack, located at the back of the phone.
- Plug the (supplied) Ethernet cable into the LAN port at the back of the phone and the other end into any ethernet/LAN ports on your router or gateway (router/modem combination). If you have our Watchdog Service and are using the Rabbit Run router, port 4 is reserved and should not be used.
- If you wish to connect to a computer, plug an additional Ethernet cable (not supplied) into the PC port at the back of the phone and the other end into the computer.
- Attach the phone base in one of the 3 slots, depending on your height preference.
- Plug the power supply into the back of the phone. If you prefer to use Power over Ethernet (POE), Polycom phones are able to receive Power over Ethernet if they are plugged into a modem or router with PoE capability.
- If you will be using a headset with your Polycom phone, you can plug your headset into the headset jack on the back of the phone.
